This drawing explores my favorite method: combining of different pastel colors on a toned paper to create picturesque effect. The red shifts from pink to crimson, blurring of edges is what makes the drawing sensual. I like that the figure can't quite be extracted from its background, as if she is going to dissolve back into the red it came from.
