45 x 60 x 2cm (unframed)
£2,666.71
Original artwork description
In my work, I am deeply fascinated by the visual landscape of modern consumer culture and how we interact with the everyday commercial environments that surround us. This painting, The Product, captures people descending an elevator while leaving an IKEA store with all their goods and purchases.
By freezing this scene, the artwork creates a permanent space for quiet reflection. Transferring this slice of modern life into the slow, deliberate medium of painting allows a familiar consumer routine to take on a profound new weight.
The work invites us to step back and truly observe the visual mechanics of global shopping, serving as a compelling mirror to the contemporary consumer habits that define our daily lives. It also serves as a heartfelt reminder to find beauty in our most ordinary moments, while quietly inviting us to look a little deeper at the modern world around us.
The Product (2010) is meticulously created with acrylic on a 60x45cm panel. It comes signed on the front and reverse and it is accompanied by my official studio label alongside a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity. If you wish to have the artwork framed, please let me know and I'd be happy to take care of that for you.
