Inspired by the visiting peacock that comes to my garden frequently, I thought I would use the fabulous colours of his plumage to paint a woman in a gorgeous transparent dress of blue and green.
This is the fourth in the series.
I decided in this version to have her hair aflame, full of heat and passion.
I love to paint outside any chance possible, listening to the birdsong, and although I worked on this on a sunny day in my garden, in May, the flame and the white ground in the image has dictated ed the title.
I have used my favourite paper which is handmade in India.
It is cotton paper, blue/grey in colour, dyed with natural colour, and has a pleasing deckle edge which can be made a feature of when it is time to frame the painting.
I have used watercolour and "Inktense" permanent water based crayons.
Available unframed.
Packed very carefully and sent by Tracked Delivery.
I include a Certificate of Authenticity with all my artworks.
watercolour, inktense watercolour, pencil, chalk pastel
