Original artwork description:

Inspired by the visiting peacock that comes to my garden frequently, I thought I would use the fabulous colours of his plumage to paint a woman scantily dressed in blue and green.
This is the third in the series.

I worked on this painting in my garden, on a sunny day in early May.
It is painted on my favourite paper - a cotton paper, hand-made in India.
It has a pleasing deckle edge - this can be made a feature of when it is time to frame the painting, rather than bringing a mount/mat over the edge.

I have used graphite pencil, watercolour and "Inktense" permanent water based crayons.

When inspiration came to me for the first in this series (now sold), I was simultaneously reading a book with Japanese characters, hence the depiction of the woman being pale skinned with long blue-black hair.

Some of the photographs show the painting in my hallway and on an easel in my studio.

Available unframed.

Packed very carefully and sent by Tracked Delivery.
I include a Certificate of Authenticity with all my artworks.

Materials used:

watercolour, inktense watercolour, pencil
