Playing Labrador BR Bronze sculpture by Tanya Russell

The Playing Labrador sculpture is based on Rolo, a vibrant and athletic five-year-old Labrador I had the pleasure of meeting in his prime. It’s quite rare for me to be commissioned to sculpt a younger dog, so this was a wonderful opportunity to capture his energy and spirit firsthand through my own photographs and video.

Rolo was full of life, bounding around during our session, and I was struck by the strength and grace of his movement. He was such a handsome boy, and I’m delighted with how beautifully the bronze has brought his playful character to life.

Each Playing Labrador bronze bears my signature and a unique edition number. Your casting will be personally approved and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
