Pink Ground #7 is a textural painting developed in Acrylic, oil and resin on canvas. The series was produced from drawings and photographs in forests in North Yorkshire and was created while on residency at the Florence Trust studios in London. The series tries to evoke feelings of being within a forest looking out and being on the edge of a forest looking in, examining nature from a semi abstract slant. The work also experimented with a range of differing resins and mediums creating a tactile, textural piece.
