This original marble sculpture on rhyolite stand is one of the latest artworks of the talented professional Bulgarian sculptor Rasho Mitev, deeply inspired by postimpressionism, neoclassicism and naturalism. It represents one unique male portraiture, skillfully carved in solid marble, shaping up a young man portrait. It is one extraordinary valuable art object and exquisite modern home décor.
In Greek mythology Perseus beheaded the Gorgon Medusa for Polydectes and saved Andromeda from the sea monster Cetus. He was the son of Zeus and the mortal Danaë, as well as the half-brother and great-grandfather of Heracles.
Rasho Mitev’s work encompasses vast contemporary art styles with the act of minimal drawing being key to his exploration of form and figurative composition sculpting in solid material.
