From a visit to Schuylkill County at the end of 2025, this drawing tries to get at the texture and pattern of the farmland there: ploughed fields, hedgerows, the low ridgeline sitting against a wide, pale sky. It is a landscape I grew up in, which makes it both familiar and surprisingly new to me when taking the time to study it.
