Pellicci's Cafe (2022) Original Mixed-media Painting by Suzsi Corio
31 x 39 x 3cm (framed) / 20 x 29cm (actual image size)
£395
Original artwork description
Pellicci's in the East End of London is a classic cafe (or 'caff' as locals say) on Bethnal Green Road, E2.
It's one of the prettiest and oldest cafes in London, full of character and is one of the most historic places to eat in the city and has even been given Grade II listed status by English Heritage.
I love the colourful exterior with the chrome sign E. Pellicci (named after Elide Pellicci who took over the cafe from her husband in 1931. The beautiful art deco interior is unspoilt and is complemented by good traditional English breakfasts and great Italian/cockney banter.
This painting is sold framed in a simple white frame & glass.
