Original artwork description
This painting is part of a series of watercolours in which the theme is defined by the relationships between objects in space. Another element is the title, which refers to one of the Oceanids. The works are primarily about the meanings of objects in relation to each other and to the space they inhabit, in which mythical entities, part human and part animal (birds in this instance), demonstrate relationships among the significations of elements. The series introduces abstract imagery in some areas to both join and separate the figurative entities.
