I didn’t plan the perspective. I was painting on the floor, walking around the canvas — and at some point I realized I was looking up through branches, not at them.

That shift — from observer to someone standing underneath — is what Overhead became. Painted with a palette knife and brush on cotton canvas, no sketch, no fixed orientation. Pink rosebuds appear between the leaves. Yellow-green petals hold the light. The canvas breathes where the paint chose not to go.

Hang it and sit beneath it. That’s the whole idea.
