This painting shows an orange, vibrant and fresh, resting gently within the intricate design of an ornate gold oval frame. The orange’s bright, textured skin catches the light in such a way that it is partially bathed in warmth, while the other half rests in shadow, adding depth and contrast. The stalk extends upward, a deep green at its base, fading into lighter shades as it connects to a small set of delicate, glossy leaves. The leaves are a rich, emerald green, contrasting beautifully with the orange’s lively hue.

The ornate vintage frame surrounding the orange is a work of art itself: swirls and curlicues of gold that catch the light in a way that almost makes the frame glow. Its ornateness adds an air of elegance, giving a sense of timelessness, as if the orange were a prized object of art from a bygone era. The mix of natural simplicity and ornate luxury creates a sense of balance, as if the orange, despite being an everyday fruit, is being presented as something precious.

Yes, I know, shoot me for using ChatGPT to write the above but it really does say what I want to describe better than I can myself!

DELIVERY INFORMATION
I shall be arranging for delivery to be via courier (not Evri!) and shipping charges will reflect this. As prices will vary depending on the purchaser's location, if the actual shipping price is less than that charged, I will refund the difference. I am happy to arrange collection.

The high cost of shipping from the UK to the USA is, unfortunately, out of my hands and I won't cut corners by using the cheapest courier or not having insurance as that will just be tempting fate!

IMPORTANT - Rather sadly I've decided that, following Brexit, I can no longer sell my artwork to purchasers in the EU. The customs/VAT regulations are an absolute nightmare and I don't want to risk purchasers having to fork out a lot of unforeseen extra money when taking delivery, and even if I agree to pay Customs and VAT upfront before sending out, the red tape involved just looks horrendous. Plus the packaging regulations that came into force in August 2026 means it is now just too bureaucratic and expensive to ship into the EU.

I will still be selling to customers outside the EU as there's been no changes there so everything remains the same. My apologies, all I can say is that I voted to remain.

For international buyers please note that import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the price of this artwork or shipping costs. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
