The Summer Exhibition is an open art exhibition held annually by the Royal Academy in Burlington House, Piccadilly in central London, England, during the months of June, July, and August. The exhibition includes paintings, prints, drawings, sculpture, architectural designs and models, and is the largest and most popular open exhibition in the United Kingdom. It is also "the longest continuously staged exhibition of contemporary art in the world".
When the Royal Academy was founded in 1768 one of its key objectives was to establish an annual exhibition, open to all artists of merit, which could be visited by the public. The first Summer Exhibition took place in 1769; it has been held every year since without exception.

Appart expects to have over 800 artworks on show both indoors and on the sculpture trail in the Gertrude Jekyll inspired garden at Prior's Field School. It will be open daily between 10 am and 4 pm and admission is free.

AppArt's annual Easter exhibition is held at Prior’s Field School, Godalming and includes an indoor exhibition of ceramics, glass art, paintings, photography and sculpture and an outdoor sculpture trail in the Gertrude Jekyll inspired gardens.
Due to Covid, this year's 25th anniversary exhibition has been postponed from Easter to July.

During June 2021, many artists in Surrey will be holding open studio exhibitions. This exhibition at The Forge ArtSpace in picturesque Shere will feature the work of a group artists showing paintings, linoprints/wood engravings, ceramics and jewellery. The exhibition will be open to the public over three weekends - 5-6 June, 12-13 June and 19-20 June. Appointments can be made to view in between these dates.

A new exhibition showcasing a range of work from contemporary printmakers across the county. It will run as part of the Surrey Artists Open Studios event taking place this June. Visitors to Denbies are invited to come and view work from over 20 local artists in the Picture Gallery located on the mezzanine floor. The work on show will demonstrate a range of printmaking methods and techniques. All work on show is for sale, we hope you will come and visit the gallery, and find something unique to take home.

I'm also now dipping my toe into watercolours using a style of monotype developed by Paul Klee and have produced a series of paintings of the standing stones of Ancient Britain as well as paintings of Tokyo based on my photographs taken during a visit in June 2023.
