Oh, My… (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Irina Kurganskaya

£669.26
Original artwork description
A highly realistic chimpanzee portrait capturing a wonderfully human moment of surprise, disbelief and quiet amusement.
Sometimes one look says it all.
Meet Oh, My… — a chimpanzee caught in a wonderfully human moment of surprise and disbelief. His expression seems to say, “Really?” or perhaps simply, “Oh, my…”
I was drawn to the combination of intelligence, humour and emotion in his face. Rather than creating a traditional wildlife portrait, I wanted to give the viewer the feeling of meeting a personality — someone with his own thoughts, reactions and unmistakable attitude.
Painted in acrylic with careful attention to the texture of the fur and the expressive eyes, this piece combines realism with a playful sense of storytelling.
Oh, My… is an original, one-of-a-kind artwork that would bring character and a little bit of humour to a contemporary interior.
