Original artwork description:

Acrylic painting of the Isle of Rassay viewed from near Portree on the Isle of Skye.
This is a painting which is painted on canvas board instead of my usual canvas as i feel the hard surface lends itself to the technique I have been using lately.
This technique involves using glazes and washes over the painting then removing areas to create the effects of sun rays on water.
This painting also incorporates some texture medium in the foreground to help convey the shoreline.
