Original artwork description:

Acrylic painting depicting light fall onto the sea between Skye and the island of Raasay Scotland.
Quite an impressionistic painting more of a memory of the scene than a pictorial representation,
I have tried to capture mood in this scene - the last light before evening sets in and darkness falls.
Here is a landscape where there is little distinction between the land sea and sky and edges are becoming blurred into one scene.
Only with the beach in the foreground is there any real distinction where I have created texture to represent the shore and breaking waves.
This painting has been finished with two coats of protective varnish.
