We've all had struggles and challenges that sometimes tax us to our limits, to the point that we can hardly remember a time when the problem was not casting a shadow on our lives. But there are moments of grace when God creates a permanent, positive change, as described in the song, "New Day", sung by the Christian trio, the Martins, who are two sisters and one brother. This painting, and others that will follow in this series, are my expression of gratitude for the gift of grace that has lightened my soul, my life. If you, or someone you love, has received a similar, life-changing gift, then this painting is for you! The painting began as a watercolor on Arches paper, that was then mounted on canvas and over-painted in acrylic. As you can see in the details, the collage includes (copies) of Scripture passages from the Gospel of John, the Gospel of Matthew, and the Book of Genesis. The painting has been given a satin varnish for protection. Hanging hardware is included.
