This is an original mixed media painting of a duck, created on canvas using oil paints, acrylics, and oil pastels.
The artwork is done in a modern, expressive style. I used a palette knife to apply thick, textured layers of paint (impasto), which gives the piece a nice tactile feel and movement. The color palette is extremely vibrant and high-contrast: the duck’s head is painted in bright blues and purples, its body features colorful yellow and pink feathers, and it all sits against a solid, intense red background.
