Apart from being a beautiful town Nara in Japan is also special in having a substantial deer population roaming the parks and pavements freely. Traditionally hunting in that area has been prohibited for centuries and the result is this amazing coexistence between human world and deer roaming freely and undisturbed.
It's so inspiring and such a wonder to behold.
Here is a graphite work inspired by my visit there. A very realistic rendering, I really enjoyed putting so many hours into this and rendering all the details meticulously for the image to feel alive and vibrant as it does.
