Mountains is born from the encounter between contemporary abstract painting and the tradition of Eastern landscapes, evoking the suspended, mist-shrouded mountains typical of Japanese painting. Created in oil on panel, the work transforms the landscape theme into a fluid and atmospheric vision, where forms slowly emerge from veils of blue, pink, and white. The rocky masses emerge like islands of memory within a rarefied space, recalling the aesthetic of contemplation present in Japanese landscapes, prints, and ink paintings. Abstraction intertwines with nature, creating a dreamlike landscape where mountains, clouds, and light seem to dissolve into one another.
