MOONLIGHT FOREST (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Marilyn Fox

MOONLIGHT FOREST is a real place, just a few miles from where I live. I used to go there back in my college days. Created from memory, MOONLIGHT FOREST transforms a wooded landscape into a lively arrangement of color and shape. Slender, branching trunks weave among rounded canopies, while a pale winding path leads the eye into the middle distance. Saturated blues, greens, pinks, and purples give the scene a playful, almost dreamlike character. Broad, visible brushstrokes and simplified forms place the work in a boldly expressive, modern landscape tradition, where mood matters as much as literal description.
