Original artwork description
Meet depicts a joyful winter moment shared by a family dressed in traditional Korean hanbok, playing together in the snow against the backdrop of Dodamsambong, one of Korea’s most iconic scenic landmarks.
The work is part of my new “Can Robot” series, in which robot-like figures serve as symbolic characters that reflect the emotions and memories of everyday life. Through the playful snowball fight between a father, mother, and child, I wanted to capture the simple happiness of being together and the precious memories created within a family.
The snow-covered landscape represents a quiet moment of pause, while the vivid colors of the hanbok bring warmth and life to the winter scene. Meet is ultimately a reflection on family, love, and the precious memories we create together, inviting viewers to look back on the warmth and happiness found in ordinary moments shared with the people they love.
