Lost humanity (2022) Original Acrylic Painting by Claudia Daminato

There is a profound raw truth in the eyes of animals—a depth that often feels purer than our own. "Lost Humanity" was born from this exact reflection: a quiet reminder of what we might have lost along the way, captures in the intense, soulful gaze of this chimpanzee.

This piece comes from an earlier, dedicated body of work focused on realistic animal portraiture paired with graphic and textile-inspired backgrounds. It has always held a very special place in my heart for its emotional intensity and the meticulous detail in every single brushstroke. As my artistic journey evolves toward new conceptual series, I feel that somewhere out there, there is a space and someone ready to welcome this unique energy.
