Rather than depicting a specific location, the painting reconstructs fragments of remembered streets, façades, windows, and intersecting structures into a dense architectural composition shaped by shadow and heat. The absence of people reinforces the psychological presence of the buildings themselves, where open shutters, worn surfaces, and abrupt planes of light suggest traces of lived experience without narration.

Originally trained in landscape architecture, Domingues approaches the city as a layered visual organism. Electrical wires, rooftops, façades, and geometric interruptions are treated not as background elements but as part of the emotional structure of the image.
