This drawing is inspired by a series of photographs taken at Glendalough in county Wicklow, Ireland. The drawing is from a series of works called 'Water Edge'. It explores the pattern of trees which is interrupted by the insertion of a bridge whose placement on closer inspection does not make sense. The elongated format is further emphasized by the warm umber highlight of one of the trees. The eye is then brought back down to the green of the ferns. The drawing is worked in graphite pencil on paper, with acrylic details.

The drawing is 36 x 18 cm in size and it comes unframed.
