Original artwork description
'Layers' is an exploration of the multi-dimensional nature of
human experience. The artwork features a sophisticated and
deep palette of forest greens, oxidized coppers, and slate blues,
woven together with bold accents of charcoal and misty white.
As the title suggests, the artist focuses on the accumulation of
time and emotion, represented through the physical build-up of
paint. By applying thick, textured reliefs with a palette knife, the
artist creates a complex surface where each layer partially reveals
or conceals the one beneath. It serves as a visual metaphor
for the hidden depths of our personality, inviting the observer to
look beyond the surface and discover the rich history embedded
within the material density of the canvas.
