Moorland Study 4 (2025) Original Drawing by Steve Potts
15 x 10.5cm (unframed) / 10.8 x 7.5cm (actual image size)
£150
Original artwork description
A small impressionistic drawing of open terrain rendered in a quiet, monochrome palette. This drawing began without a specific place in mind. I was interested in the feeling of moorland rather than any particular stretch of it: that combination of openness, slight bleakness, and the way the ground seems to go on into an uncertain distance. The marks were made with tools I find deliberately difficult to control, and the result has a texture I couldn't have planned for.
Materials used:
oil pastel
Details:
- Drawing on Paper
- One of a kind artwork
- Size: 15 x 10.5cm (unframed) / 10.8 x 7.5cm (actual image size)
- Signed on the front
- Style: Expressive and gestural
- Subject: Landscapes, sea and sky
