La Mer (2025) Original Mixed-media Painting by Yulia KESTENER

13 x 18 x 0.2cm (unframed)

£207.3

I did not paint a specific beach, because I wanted you to find your own there. Abstraction is an open door. By removing superfluous details, I make room for pure connection. It is an invitation to meditation, a space where the tumult of the world fades away, leaving only the imaginary sound of the waves. "For me, painting this sea is an act of desire. The desire for a limitless horizon, for rediscovered clarity, and for a serenity that only the blue immensity can offer." This work is a piece of that "elsewhere" that I carry within me. By welcoming it into your home, you are not just buying a canvas, but an open window onto your own inner sea, where everything is calm, where everything is possible.

Materials used:

Acrilic paints, texture paste, sand
