Original artwork description
I created this floral abstract painting as a study of softness emerging from contrast — a moment where light floral forms appear against a deep atmospheric background.
Working with acrylic on canvas, I built the composition through layered textures using palette knife and expressive brushwork. Soft ivory and warm white tones form abstract blooming shapes, while black, beige, taupe, and smoky brown layers create depth and grounding beneath them.
The flowers are intentionally undefined — somewhere between memory and movement — allowing the composition to remain expressive rather than literal. Textured strokes and subtle drips bring rhythm and energy to the surface, while the neutral palette keeps the painting elegant and timeless.
