Original artwork description:

My painting ‘Iris flowers’ was inspired by a trip to Peterborough in South Australia’s mid north.
Peterborough in South Australia is a former railway town. Even though it has a very dry climate, there are some beautiful gardens full of colourful spring flowers.
This is the third painting I’ve done from one particular garden. I was so impressed with its masses of bright colours and green foliage. Such a contrast to the dryness of the landscape.

Materials used:

oil paint and ink
