In creating this painting, I chose to explore the intricate dance between visibility and anonymity. The stark mask contrasts with the vulnerable, unadorned human form, symbolizing the facades we wear versus our intrinsic selves. Through fine brushwork and realistic tones, I sought to evoke a contemplation of identity and the essence behind the masks we all wear. This artwork whispers a reminder of our delicate human depth, bringing a thoughtful resonance into any space it inhabits.
In my figurative works my intent is to get beyond the regular boring interpretation of the human body. I'm always trying to include something unspoken, sometimes a tease or a mystery, so to make viewer going behind the obvious.
This large painting is done in the unique technique of charcoal and acrylics on canvas. The edges are painted in gray. The painting measures 100 x 150 cm. It is lacquered with protective varnish.
