Red-necked spurfowl also knows francolin in our local language we call them Inkware, and I am not saying what I know on this bird as a scientist, I am saying what I know about them since I was little. I am gonna share with you stories of francolin and what we know about them as locals. They told us that francolin were somehow alike domestic chicken, but with a little bit of undomesticated behavior. They are fast and they have long legs and sometimes we have some local sayings about francolin such as " that somebody has long legs like francolin" and also if somebody cooks meals with a lot of salt we say" somebody cook meals with a salt that can kill a francolin". Until today I am still wondering if a lot of amount of salt could kill a francolin.
