I was thinking about two places when creating this original watercolour.
My observation of the rhododendrons and lilacs at Stourhead gardens in Wiltshire .I used my imagination and created a fantasy garden scape by the sea at Studland in Dorset.

I used very thick quality rough textured watercolour paper-Bockingford acid free 200lb - Chinese brushes and Filberts and Holbein watercolour paints .Many techniques were used in this painting.
