Original artwork description
This painting was created by the shore of the South Fork of the Yuba River. I took my plein air group passed the historic town of Washington up stream over two bridges to a US Forest Service day use area. There is a 500 foot long pool and mountainside of pine trees, oaks and madrone trees. In this piece I’ve created the colorful waters and shore’s edge of grasses, rocks and sand. The trees represent summer moving into the vibrant colors of Autumn.
Materials used:
Professional premium acrylic paints and canvas. The painting is wrapped around the 2 inch sides and stretched over a kiln dried wood frame.
