The motive of diving into the depths of the sea is an important theme in my art.
For me this is a metaphor for being immersed in oneself. An attempt to know my nature.
How we accept gravity and slowly dive into the unknown. The depth can be terrifying, there are so many dangers in it. But the beauty that is hidden within it is worth all the risks. The man in this picture is a daredevil. He wasn't afraid to jump into deadly waters. Maybe he will die, or maybe he will return from there victorious. I paint my feelings and emotions in my paintings. I try to convey what I feel in metaphors. Right now this is one of the largest and most monumental paintings of mine. I've been working on it for two and a half months. The composition and the idea that came to me in 2017. A man surrounded by sharks….
