Hypnotic Companion (2026) Original Oil Painting by Doriana Radu

Hypnotic Companion is an expressive contemporary oil painting exploring the connection between a woman and her feline companion.
The portrait combines vivid blue hair, a striking red nose and dramatic dark lips with a warm golden cat, surrounded by hypnotic flowing lines. The intense palette of neon pink, orange, yellow, electric blue and deep navy creates a playful, theatrical atmosphere.
I used expressive brushstrokes, layered colour and strong graphic contours to create a sense of movement and visual rhythm. The hypnotic background contrasts with the figurative subjects, giving the painting a contemporary pop-surrealist character.
Painted in oil on canvas, this is a unique original artwork, created entirely by hand.
Attention ! The artwork has a small, repaired 2 cm tear in the canvas near the neck area. The canvas was carefully stitched, and the repair is virtually invisible from the front. It does not affect the visual appearance of the painting.
