we are used
to finding in the clouds
the outline of a face.

Wherever we look,
if only we pay attention,
forms begin to blossom
before our very eyes.

Scenes of battle,
secret stories,
a cat's head,
a horse,
a fish.

In a puddle,
the face of an angel;
in the grain of wood,
an unsuspected world.

But these beautiful visions
will soon return
to the sterilized world
of reality.
