From Beneath the Baobab (2025) Original Mixed-media Painting by Heather Irvine
91.44 x 60.96 x 2.54cm (unframed)
£3,000
Original artwork description
This mixed‑media cheetah big cat artwork combines acrylic, ink, and my own hand‑printed gel plate papers to create a textured, expressive and that glowing sun drenched African atmosphere. The piece was inspired by an unforgettable encounter with a calm, nonchalant cheetah whom I was tracking while I was volunteering in the Kalahari Desert. Layers of warm colour and printed marks echo the heat and stillness of the landscape, while the cheetah’s poised stance captures the quiet intensity of that moment - man to beast.
Materials used:
Acrylic, Gelli Plate papers, Ink
Details:
- Mixed-media painting on Canvas
- One of a kind artwork
- Size: 91.44 x 60.96 x 2.54cm (unframed)
