Not every painting arrives fully formed. Some begin at the edge of something — a branch, a colour, a decision not yet made.
Frequency I is that edge. Fewer flowers, more space. More linen showing through — not because the painting is unfinished, but because restraint is its own kind of statement. What is left unpainted breathes as much as what is there.
This is where the series begins: in the pause before the first mark becomes something more.
