Original artwork description
A close up study of a beautiful inquisitive fox bathed in natural sunlight. I really wanted to encapsulate the stealth and beauty of these resilient creatures. The close crop angle was necessary to really focus in on the eyes in particular, which seem to glow in the sunlight. This painting is framed very simply in a very chunky black gallery style frame, which helps to set it off beautifully. I did consider a slip frame in a contrasting colour to act as a mount, but it just detracted and distracted from the painting itself. Simple works best with this painting.
