Flower life, peace and happiness all round, forever!
This is a drypoint etching, drypoint means that I draw on a copperplate with a very sharp stylus, in this case a diamond tipped one, to make marks that will hold ink.
Drypoints by their very nature are fragile as what makes the line is a raised burr, that with pressure goes down quite quickly , making editions short. I colour the drypoint a la poupee, a technique where all colours are applied to the copper plate before printing, for each and every print, the ink has to be applied again, and this can means that variations do occur, something I hope you will treasure as the nature of handmade prints.
"Flower life" measures 38 cm 40 cm (15" x 16")
with the copperplate imprint measuring 28 cm x 28 cm (11" x 11")
each print comes signed, titled and numbered in a short edition of only 25 prints, please note you might not receive the number in the photo.
I ship from my studio in Denmark with many years experience in packing my art so it arrives safely, see my over 900 reviews that I do a good job.
