Original artwork description
"Surrender is the simple but profound wisdom of yielding to rather than opposing the flow of life," Eckhart Tolle writes.
Before starting Flower Bomb, the same palette returned in Anastassia Skopp’s mind again — teal, pink, green, red — the one she’s painted in for months now, returning even after she’s tried other colours in between. She tried to talk herself into something new this time. The mind didn’t let go.
So she followed it instead of resisting.
To ex‑ist, at its root, means to emerge, to stand out from stillness. Teal fog moves across most of the linen, shifting with the light in the room. Branches drift through it carrying small red buds. Then, in two corners, the palette knife stops drifting and starts building — white and gold and near-black red, layered so densely the roses hold their own shadows.
This is what it looks like when something insists on ex‑isting exactly as it is.
