Original artwork description

This painting was created from memory and from photographs taken on a trip to the Isle of Skye in Scotland in late autumn. On the road to Torrin, we passed this reedy loch with the view across to the Blaven ridge and there was a shower of snow. I was enchanted by the loneliness of the place and the idea of it in winter, cut off from civilization. I used the technique of sprinkling salt on the wet paint to make the fluffy snowflakes, shaking it off when the painting was dry.

This unique artwork is sold mounted and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
