The theme of this painting is perspective: how different things can appear from a distance. Close up, the final layers of this oil painting were achieved by mark-making with oil pastels, which have been sealed. Standing far enough back, the individual marks become an abstracted landscape, perhaps elements of sky, waterlilies and light coming through. From a distance, there is coherence that appears as looseness when seen close up. This play of perspective makes the work a striking statement piece.
Due to the oversize of this work, it can only be delivered rolled, or arrangements can be made to be collected from South East England.
