The Encounter is a symbolic painting, open to personal interpretation.

For one person, it may represent the beginning of a journey and an acceptance of where life is leading. For another, it may suggest a return to harbour — a return filled with experience, calm and a deeper understanding of the road already travelled.

The wide, full sail evokes a desire to live openly and fully, trusting the wind and the chosen direction. Above the yacht, a seagull glides through the sky, becoming a symbol of protection and companionship — watchful, free and always nearby.

For me, The Encounter is about acceptance and trust: being on a journey that, in its own way, is also leading home.
