This contemporary impressionist landscape is filled with soft light and deep shades of green, transforming an ordinary garden corner into an almost dreamlike space. I wanted to capture the feeling of a quiet summer day, when the garden seems to live a secret life of its own. Loose brushwork, a muted palette and almost abstract touches of colour create a sense of tranquillity, solitude and the subtle mystery of nature.
