Original artwork description:

This painting started as a class demo for my Capturing the Light in the Landscape oil painting class at Heartland Art Club in St Louis, MO. My style has been evolving over the years to using much stronger color and light, and lately, influenced by the colorist method of painting. The photograph I used to create this painting was one taken in the small, quaint village of Elsah, IL established in 1853. This painting is framed in a dark brown frame with warm undertones and an antique gold filet. It is completely ready to remove from the box and hang on your wall.

Materials used:

Oil paint, linen canvas
