Eiger in Spring (2026) Original Pencil Drawing by Graham McKenzie-Smith
42 x 59.4 x 1cm (unframed) / 41 x 58cm (actual image size)
£1,400
Original artwork description
A walk in the area between Bort and Grindelwald on a beautiful Spring day presented me with this flowered meadow towards the infamous Eiger and I was struck by how the colours seemed to sing with every hue. The walk itself meanders down between chalet huts, tall pines and picket fences, all surrounded by an arena of snow peaked mountains; true scenery that is food for the soul.
Switzerland can often look like a chocolate box cover when painted but I’m pleased with the natural feel of this one, although I had to resist the temptation of adding a cow grazing in the centre.
Materials used:
Pen and pencil on paper
