Egg Situation (2025) Original Relief by Vio Valova

A small surreal relief created entirely from hand-crocheted elements. I built the fork and the egg stitch by stitch, then placed them against a hand-painted acrylic background inside a simple frame.
I injoy working with textile in a playful, slightly absurd way. Crochet is usually associated with softness and domesticity, but here it becomes a tool for humor and surreal storytelling.
this piece is part of my ongoing exploration of "textile surrealism", where familiar objects are reimagined through yarn, color, and tactile form.
Framed and ready to hang.
