This photograph explores the relationship between light and shadow. Cast onto a luminous surface, the silhouette of a leafy branch becomes a fleeting drawing, where the absence of detail allows shape, rhythm, and atmosphere to take precedence.

In this work, the branch is never directly seen—only its shadow remains, softened by diffused light and surrounded by an expansive field of negative space. The image invites the eye to linger not only on what is present, but also on what is left intentionally empty.

The restrained palette and balanced composition create a sense of calm and openness. Rather than documenting a tree, the photograph reflects on the dialogue between presence and absence, revealing how light can simplify the natural world into its most essential forms.
